To give that warm welcome, this entry foyer begged for some character. The challenge here was that the foyer had doorways and sightlines into three separate rooms; each with their own personality. So, this room couldn’t compete with those rooms in view. It needed a subtle pop with personality to feel welcoming. To accomplish this, we played with patterns and subtle neutral tones. Adding a vertical board and batten on the walls, contrasted by a large scale herringbone pattern on the floor was the perfect compliment to the space. The marriage of these patterns, complimented by a modern woven bench, oversized light fixture and round mirror helped carry your eye around the room to give it a bold but soft and balanced look.
