Despite this 300 square foot space calling for symmetry with a predictable tub centered on the Palladian window, we created a modern symmetry with the balance of color and sightlines. With the goal of spreading natural light to all the areas that demanded it, we carved away portions of the wall flanking the shower plumbing. This allowed natural light to flood in and reflect off of the vanity mirrors into the shower. We offset the deep blue double vanity with a matching dressing area in the same handsome marine blue color. Mimicking the blue of the vanity with a variegated blue picket and basketweave dotted in the same blue helped balance this luxury bathroom while large format wood herringbone adds the dramatic texture desired for such a large space.
